Appreciated Securities
Donating appreciated stock, bonds or mutual funds provides you a tax-wise and efficient method of giving to the Indian Law Resource Center. Depreciated Securities
If your securities have depreciated, it is more advantageous to you to sell the securities in your own account and contribute the proceeds. This enables you to take a capital loss, and make a fully deductible charitable gift to the Indian Law Resource Center.
The Indian Law Resource Center LEGACY SOCIETY honors people who have made gifts to the Indian Law Resource Center through bequests, charitable remainder trusts, retirement plans, insurance policies and gifts of tangible property. These types of gifts include:

If you work for a company that has a MATCHING GIFT PROGRAM, your gift to the Indian Law Resource Center could be doubled or even tripled. Many companies match their employees' charitable gifts without any additional obligation from the individual donor. Contact your Human Resources Department to see if they offer a matching gift program. If so, send us the necessary paperwork when you submit your donation and we will take care of the rest.

A primary or secondary residence, vacation home, farm, commercial building or a parcel of land are welcome gifts. The Center may use the real estate or sell it and utilize the funds. Donated appreciated real estate allows you a charitable deduction at the current market value and avoidance of capital gain tax. Gift of a Retained Life Estate is another way to give. This gift gives you the option to live in your home until such time that you pass ownership to ILRC.
